I Overview

The predecessor of the college was the first automobile application and repair major in China established in 1956. In May 1992, it was approved by the former Ministry of Machinery Industry and the Ministry of Communications. Jilin University of Technology was established on the basis of the automobile application engineering and transportation management engineering majors. The School of Transportation, which was renamed Jilin University School of Transportation in June 2000, is one of the earlier and stronger transportation colleges in China. There are currently 102 faculty members in the college, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 former and current members of the State Council Disciplinary Review Group, 13 doctoral supervisors, 17 professors, and doctoral and in-service doctoral students account for 64% of the total faculty . It is a team of teachers with reasonable academic structure, title structure and age structure.

The college began to train graduate students in 1961. After more than 40 years of development, it now has 5 doctoral programs in vehicle application engineering, transportation planning and management, traffic information engineering and control, road and railway engineering, and traffic environment and safety technology. In addition, a new master's degree in logistics engineering and the right to grant a master's degree in the field of transportation engineering were added. In 1995, the State Council approved the establishment of the country's first post-doctoral mobile station for roads, railways, and water transportation. In 1998, the discipline of transportation planning and management was established. Obtained the post-appointment qualification of the plan's special professor, and was granted the right to confer a doctorate degree in the first-level discipline of transportation engineering in 2000. Currently, three secondary disciplines have been identified as key disciplines in Jilin Province. The college currently has four undergraduate majors: transportation, logistics engineering, traffic engineering, and civil engineering (road and bridge). The college currently consists of 4 departments, 5 research institutes and 1 research center, namely, the Department of Vehicle Application Engineering, the Department of Transportation Planning and Management, the Department of Traffic Information Engineering and Control, the Department of Road and Bridge Engineering, and the Institute of Automobile Transportation Engineering, Modern Logistics Research Institute, Traffic Engineering Research Institute, Structural Engineering Research Institute, Traffic Accident Research Institute and Intelligent Transportation System Research and Development Center, Changchun Automobile Transportation Engineering Research Institute of Ministry of Transport Science Research Institute and Jilin Province Vehicle Comprehensive Performance Testing Center Station (Jilin University Vehicle Inspection Technology Research and Development Center) is also established in this hospital.

II Basic information of mobile station

The post-doctoral workstation of transportation engineering has been established in 1995. After years of hard work, the station now has a total of 80 teachers and researchers, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and 1 member of the State Council Disciplinary Review Group. There are 13 doctoral supervisors, 17 professors, and 24 associate professors. Among the teachers, 70% of the total number of teachers have a doctorate or master degree.

At present, the first-level disciplines of transportation engineering supported by this site include three provincial-level key disciplines: transportation information engineering and control, transportation planning and management, and vehicle utilization engineering. At the same time, there are 5 second-level disciplines that can be awarded doctorates. There are 6 secondary disciplines that can be awarded a master's degree. There are 91 PhD candidates.
