The Transportation Management and Logistics Engineering Laboratory was established in 1992 and is a specialized laboratory affiliated with the College of Transportation. It currently provides 240 square meters of teaching space and primarily supports experimental activities for undergraduate and graduate students. The laboratory's teaching and research team consists of seven professors, six associate professors, and one senior engineer, for a total of 14 faculty members, together with 66 master's and doctoral students.
The Laboratory primarily supports experimental instruction for the undergraduate programs in Transportation Planning and Management , as well as graduate thesis experiments and research activities. It offers four laboratory-based courses: Transportation Business Management, Geographic Information Systems for Transportation, Transportation Survey and Analysis, and Transportation Planning Software and Applications. The Laboratory provides 16 experimental modules and is equipped with a total of 130 sets of equipment and software. Its principal hardware and software systems include: a dynamic traffic-flow data acquisition system; a laser speed measurement system; a resident travel-trajectory data conversion system; a resident travel-data acquisition system; a resident travel-data processing system; a resident travel-data analysis system; a traffic-control simulation software system; a container-yard management system; unmanned aerial vehicles; robots; and other equipment. The total value of the laboratory equipment exceeds RMB 6 million.
